SBV continues support for SMEs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No.1591/QĐ-NHNN on July 6 to maintain operations of the Special Working Teams with the aim of resolving difficulties and problems of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in getting access to bank loans in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City until September 30, 2009.

Under the Document, the Special Working Teams will continue to implement the following tasks : coordinating with relevant agencies of the People’s Committees of the two cities, and professional associations to tackle any problems or make recommendations to the SBV Governor for guidance in dealing with difficulties in the implementation of Decision No.14/2009/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister dated January 21, 2009 on implementing Regulations on providing guarantee to enterprises to get loans from commercial banks, other Decisions of the Prime Minister and guiding Circulars of the SBV on interest rate subsidy for the business and productive corporate and individual borrowers.

In addition, the Special Working Teams will be responsible for monitoring and promptly reporting to the SBV Governor all the problems related to forex trading of credit institutions in their locations in line with Official Letter No.4941/NHNN-QLNH of the SBV.
