SBT: Business result of the first 06 months 2009

Suciété De Bourbon Tay Ninh (SBT) has announced business result and the BOD’s orientation for the last 06 months as follows:

At the first 06 months of 2009, SBT achieved approximately 67% of the profit plan for whole year because profit of quarter 2 increased by 34% higher than quarter 1. To get the result, the company had to save production expenses, develop the detail distribution channel and the sugar-cane material area for 2009-2010. To the end of June, the sugar-cane material area was contracted over 11,700ha, reached 96% of the plan (increasing by 30% compared with area of 2008-2009).

On July 21, 2009, the company held a BOD’s regular meeting for quarter 3/2009 to review the implement of the business plan for the first 06 months and to pass the business orientation for the last 06 months (expectation profit after tax in 2009 will be at least 40% - 50% higher than the plan approved by the 2009 shareholders’ meeting).
