New coal power plant planned for Mekong Delta
The government aims to build a 1,200-megawatt coal-fired power plant in the Mekong Delta province of Long An, Tuoi Tre newspaper said, citing a local government official.
Ho Chi Minh City-based Tan Tao Investment Industry Corp. will invest in the plant, the newspaper said, quoting Mai Van Nhieu, director of the province’s planning and investment department. Tuoi Tre gave no timeframe for the project.
