Imexpharm expects first-half net profit to rise 19 percent
Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint-Stock Co., Vietnam’s second-biggest listed drug maker, estimated net profit rose 19 percent in the first six months of the year.
The company estimated profit rose to VND37.5 billion (US$2.1 million) in the January-June period, while revenue likely increased 13 percent to VND315 billion, its chief accountant Phan Hoang Minh Tri said in a phone interview.
The forecast was first reported in the Vietnam News newspaper, which didn’t say where it got the information.
Tri confirmed the company gave estimated earnings figures to Vietnam News, but had not yet released an official earnings statement to the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.
Imexpharm plans to open a new plant in the fourth quarter, which is expected to contribute additional revenue of VND200 billion this year, the newspaper said.
