HPG: Business result in Q2/09

Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company (HPG) has informed of business result in Q2/2009 as follows:

Profit after tax in Q2/09 increased 28% compared to that in Q1/2009

Reasons:

-  Steel products:

Profit after tax increased 17% because consumption output of construction steel rose 21% and steel pipe jumped 34% in comparison with that in Q1/09.

-  Other businesses:

* After-tax profit of interior increased 50%

* Consumption output of refrigeration products rose 70%, contributing to 11% of after-tax profit of the whole company.
