VNA: Business result in Q2/2009

Vinaship Joint Stock Company (VNA) has informed of business result in Q2/2009 as follows:

Total revenue of sale and services in Q2/09 increased VND7,493,868,576 compared to that in Q1/09, in which revenue of maritime transport increased VND6,330,729,496 due to operation of one additional vessel named Vinaship Diamond during the period. Revenue of this vessel in Q2/09 was VND15,007,026,936, however total revenue of all vessels (excluding Vinaship Diamond) decreased VND8,676,297,440 in comparison with that in Q1/09.

Reasons: The global financial crisis has directly affected revenue of maritime transport. In addition, long-term charter contracts of My Thinh and My Vuong vessels had been ended.
