Bright prospects for Vietnam-Brazil trade cooperation
A seminar on promoting Vietnam-Brazil cooperation in trade and investment has been held in Curitiba city in Parana State, Brazil.
The event was organised by Vietnam’s Commercial Affair Division under Vietnam’s Embassy in Brazil in coordination with the Industry Federation of Parana (FIEP). Its objective is to help businesses in Parana State understand more about Vietnam’s economy and the potential they have for cooperation in trade and investment.
Nearly 80 leading groups and businesses in Parana State attended the seminar.
At the seminar, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil, Nguyen Thac Dinh and Counsellor Pham Ba Uong answered questions from businesses relating to the advantages of Vietnam’s policies to encourage trade and investment, its regulations, administrative procedures and exports-imports.
Parana State plays an important economic role in the South of Brazil. The State has great potential for developing its economy and tourism sector and is a key import-export partner for wood, leather shoes, rice and cooperation with Vietnam in the energy and tourism industries.
Many Brazilian businesses have expressed their wishes to establish relations with Vietnam, particularly in industrial investment such as automobile production, construction materials and food processing.
The FIEP has organised a business delegation to research the Vietnamese market and visit fairs and exhibitions in Vietnam in October.
