Domestic gold price increases by VND 20,000 a tael
The domestic gold prices on June 22 saw a slight increase by VND 20,000 a tael against the previous week’s prices.
This morning, Saigon Jewelry Holding Company (SJC) listed its buying and selling prices in Hanoi at VND 20.92 million and VND 21.00 million a tael respectively. Accordingly, both buying and selling prices went up by VND 20,000 a tael compared to the prices last week.
Last week, domestic gold prices continuously fluctuated around the threshold of VND 21 million a tael. The week witnessed only one session that the gold price exceeded VND 21 million a tael; however it promptly slipped this threshold on following days.
Currently, the world gold price is fluctuating around the last week’s closing price at US$933 an ounce. The gold price in London increased from US$933.75 an ounce to stand at US$935.25 an ounce this morning.
