Vietnamese firms reluctant to tinker with HR policy: Expert
Around 80 percent of more than 200,000 small-and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam remain reluctant to draft appropriate human-resource policies, an expert told Thanh Nien Daily.
Though most Vietnamese SMEs are aware of the necessity of long-term HR policies, they are constrained by budgets and a hesitancy to restructure their HR policies, HR consultant Philippe Dendievel on the sidelines of a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City Wednesday.
To wait until year-end or next year to tweak their HR strategies is the common refrain among Vietnamese businesses, Dendievel said.
