UK, Vietnamese firms set up retail marketing consultancy

British marketing group CPM International has tied up with Vietnamese firm VIRA Asia to set up a marketing and retail services venture in Vietnam.

The country’s first venture of its kind would offer consultancy to producers and retailers in promoting their businesses, said CPM Vietnam, which specializes in merchandising, retail audit, category management, mystery shopping, sampling and sales force management.

The venture is the UK group’s fourth affiliate in Asia after others in China, India and Australia.

“By bringing our brand to Vietnam, we are committed to a longterm investment in the country and CPM will take steps to improve technology and human capital and introduce new services to Vietnam,” said CPM International’s global Chief Executive Officer Tom Preece.
