Local firm fastest-growing KIA distributor in region

Truong Hai Auto Joint-Stock Corporation was the KIA distributor with the fastest market growth rate in the Asia-Pacific region, the corporation said Friday.

At an annual meeting with regional KIA distributors late last week in Seoul, the car company reported that the Vietnamese distributor’s output of the South Korean cars increased almost 150 percent last year and more than 100 percent in the early months of 2009.

At the meeting, KIA promised to continue to increase cooperation with Truong Hai and assist the Vietnamese enterprise in assembling new KIA models like the Cerato Coupe, the Sorentos and the Carnival late this year.
