IFS: Interfood falls most in two months as profit drops
International Food Joint-Stock Co., a distributor of cookies, crackers and canned foods, fell the most in more than two months after first-quarter profit dropped 21 percent.
The company, known as Interfood, slid for a second day, falling VND500, or 4.6 percent, the most since March 12, to close at a one-week low of VND10,500 on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.
Net income fell to VND13.3 billion ($746,000), from more than VND16.8 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to the company’s figures posted on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange’s website. The statement did not give a reason for the decline.
