HCMC assures funds still available for stimulus loans

Ho Chi Minh City has enough funds to subsidize loans for businesses under its stimulus program, People’s Committee leaders said at a meeting Thursday.

It would support 11 more projects soon, they said, in addition to the 16 others that have already been approved for interest-free loans of nearly VND1.1 trillion (US$61.8 million).

In addition, the city would continue to assign funding priority to traffic infrastructure and anti-flooding projects, the committee’s Chairman Le Hoang Quan said.

The leaders also ordered the agencies concerned to ensure the stability of prices after fuel prices recently edged up.
