Border gate trade fair to kick off

At least 30 Cambodian companies will participate in trade, tourism and investment promotion fair scheduled for next week at the Tinh Bien Border Gate of An Giang province in the Mekong Delta.

The Cambodian firms will be among 200 companies taking part in the six-day fair that will open on May 14.

The companies will display, in 500 stalls, a wide variety of products and services, including agricultural and seafood products, machinery and equipment, chemicals, building materials, electrical and electronics home appliances, handicraft items and garments.

On May 15, a conference on trade, tourism and investment promotion will be held at the fair. Participants will discuss the establishment of a commercial centre for Vietnamese goods in the Cambodian capital of PhnomPenh.

Tours will be organised to explore new inland routes liking An Giang Province with Phnom Penh and Angkor Wat.
