The country also made 234 million USD from exporting 27,800 tonnes of shrimp, with Japan, the major customer, taking more than one-third of the exports.
Meanwhile, the EU is still the largest buyer of Vietnam’s aquatic products, importing 50,000 tonnes valued at 120 million USD to its markets.
It was also the main importer of Vietnamese tuna, shipping 3.55 tonnes at a cost of 10.75 million USD.
