Two more state-owned groups to be audited
The National Assembly Standing Committee has asked the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) agency to conduct two more audits at the PetroVietnam Financial JS Corporation and the Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation.
The audit will be performed with PetroVietnam Financial JS Corporation’s financial reports and financial investment activities, including investments in credit institutions, insurance, securities, and contributions of capital into investment funds and in businesses.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation will be audited with financial investment activities, including investment in credit institutions, insurance, stock and capital contributions to investment funds and joint venture businesses.
The audit will be carried out in the second quarter of 2009 and the audit report will be submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Supervision Team on the implementation of management and the use of state capital and assets at State-owned corporations and groups before mid-August 2009.
In the mid-March 2009, the first phase of audit conducted by the State Audit of Vietnam Agency over some big state-owned corporations and state-funded projects, namely the Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT), the State Capital Investment Corporation, the Vietnam Coffee Corporation, the Pleiku-Phu Lam 500KV, the expansion of the Pleiku-Phu Lam transformer station project, the project to build the international terminal at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and the project to build the HCM City – Trung Luong highway.
By adding two more state-owned corporations into the list of audits, the State Audit of Vietnam Agency will audit 142 organizations this year.
The agency will work with the Vietnam Airlines Corporation this July.
