Ceremony honours globally integrated businesses
An awards ceremony for those successful businesses was held in Hanoi on April 5 to recognize their efforts to improve economic efficiency and competitiveness.
Eighty-one businesses were granted Gold Cups at the annual event, held by the Central Commission for Education and Communication, the CPV online newspaper, the Association for Small- and Medium-seized Enterprises and various organizations.
The 15 most outstanding businesses also received certificates of merit from the Central Commission for Education and Communication.
When addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung stressed that cooperation and development are essential in this day and the winners have led the way in putting Vietnam on a par with other nations in the world.
Vietnam has completed its initial process of integration and development and has successfully brought inflation under control during the current economic slowdown, said Mr Hung, adding that the country has maintained social welfare and is likely to regain its pace of growth in the near future.
