Southern airport to serve 100 million passengers per year
Long Thanh international airport to be built in the southern province of Dong Nai will be on a par with major airports around the world. It will have eight administrative sections and serve approximately 100 million passengers annually.
The Long Thanh area will also be built into a modern city with an estimated population of 230,000, according to a recent working session between the provincial authorities and the Hansen Partnership, an Australian consulting company.
The provincial people’s committee asked the Hansen Partnership to devise planning for the project and assigned its departments to consult with the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport.
