DCS: Explanation for negative profit in QIV- 2008

Dai Chau Joint Stock Company explained the negative profits in QIV/ 2008 as follows:

-         Due to the world’s economic crisis, export orders have been canceled, which affected the income in QIV/2008

-         Interest for bank loan was high and the company had to pay both principles and interests in quarter IV, which made expenses in QIV/2008 increase.

-         The company must reduce the price of products by 20% - 30% because of sharp decrease in the inputs in QIV compared to QIII.

-         Many building were completed in QIV/2008, but the settlement has not been done.
