HCM City to be prudent with ODA funds
The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has issued a regulation that prioritises the use of official development assistance (ODA) funds from overseas donors.
Funds will be used in the key areas of agricultural and rural development in coordination with poverty and hunger reduction; modern infrastructure; health; education and training; environmental and natural resource protection; institutional capacity and human resource development; technology transfer; and research.
Other areas will be decided by the Prime Minister. The city’s Department of Planning and Investment will be responsible for supervising and assessing ODA use.
