Work begins on Binh Duong’s largest urban centre
The construction of an over 6ha urban centre, the largest of its kind in southern Binh Duong province, commenced in Thu Dau Mot township on February 8.
The 2.500 trillion VND Becamex City Centre project, built by the Binh Duong Industrial Investment and Development Corporation (Becamex IDC), will include office buildings, high-class apartments, a trading quarter and hotels and entertainment services.
According to Becamex IDC Corp, the three-phase project will be completed before 2015. The first phase will build New Horizon apartment building and Becamex Tower office building with an investment of 900 billion VND.
Nguyen Hoang Son, Chairman of the Binh Duong province People’s Committee, said when completed, Becamex City Centre will create an incentive to develop new urban areas towards turning Binh Duong into a centrally-run city prior to 2020.
On this occasion, 20 affiliates of Becamex IDC Corp and other businesses in the province raised more than 3.4 billion VND for local humanitarian and scholarship funds.
