GMD: Business result in 2008

General Forwarding & Agency Corporation (GEMADEPT) has explained business result in 2008 as follows:

* Total sales: VND1,854 billion, increasing 58% compared to that in 2007

* Total profit before tax: VND(-163) billion

* In which: Gross profit of traditional business: VND311 billion

Profit was negative due to following reasons:

* High payment of loan interest

* Loss of financial activities due to low liquidity of some stocks

* Deducting for the provision of devalutation of some listed and OTC stocks at 31st December 2008.
