Swiss company to provide power for southern island
Aerogie.plus Solutions Inc. will supply power to Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s offshore Con Dao District in approximately two years, according to a contract signed with the district People’s Committee Tuesday.
The Swiss company will supply power to customers when its power plant in Con Dao District, a group of islands in the East Sea, comes on-stream by the end of 2010.
The plant, expected to have a capacity of 7.5MW and worth 20 million euros (US$25.7 million), will produce electricity from wind and diesel.
The project is set to operate over 30 years.
