SATRA, Singapore partner move into franchising

Sai Gon Trading Corporation (SATRA) has expanded its operations into the franchising business in cooperation with Singapore ’s Asiawide Franchise.

The two companies will organise a seminar on how franchising can help businesses overcome current economic difficulties.

The seminar, which will be held on Dec. 18, will draw around 20 franchisers from outside Vietnam specialising in a wide variety of industries.

SATRA is advising two of its food processing affiliates, Vissan and Agrex Sai Gon, to standardise their retail systems as a first step in franchising their brandnames.

A franchise is the authorisation granted to someone to sell or distribute a company’s goods or services during a certain period of time and in a certain area.

World wide, there are around 16,000 companies who grant franchises and 1.5 million who receive them.
