Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility of enterprises
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on December 17 signed a project to promote the role of the business community in improving Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in conformity with the principles of the Global Convention.
The two-year project will contribute to promoting Vietnam’s development and support the implementation of agreements and international conventions directly relating to business activities.
The cooperative project will focus on charity activities which are considered to be part of CRS strategy. It consists of three sections. The first section is to enhance the CRS of Vietnamese enterprises within the framework of the Global Convention. The second is to promote CRS through research plans and curricula. The financial section is to strengthen effective and close co-ordination among relevant agencies.
