German car maker opens $3 million complex in HCMC
Prestige Sports Cars Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Stuttgart-based Porsche car maker, opened a US$3 million complex in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7 Saturday.
The Porsche Center Saigon will be a one-stop facility including sales, after-sales, accessories and merchandising (Porsche Design Driver’s Selection) divisions.
Andreas Klingler, general director of Prestige Sports Cars, said a total of 31 Porsche cars were sold in Vietnam in 2008 and the figure is expected to be a few hundred next year despite the economic turndown.
The latest model, 911 Carrera Porsche, was launched at the showroom’s opening.
