PPC: Delay of the first dividend payment for 2008

Pha Lai Thermal Joint-stock Company (PLPC) has informed of delay of the first dividend payment for 2008 as follows:

The company has officially delayed the first dividend payment for 2008 (Ex-right date: 28/10/08; record date: 30/10/08; payment date: 20/11/08; pay-out ratio: 3%/par value).

Reason: Loan which the company got from JBIC was affected by vigorous fluctuation of exchange rate of VND/JPY. This made profit of 2008 low so the company did not have enough capital to pay dividend as planned.

According to the resolution of the BOD, the company still keeps the shareholder list on the record date of 30/10/2008 to pay dividend for the first time 2008.
