VSH: Business result in Q3/2008
Vinh Son - Song Hinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company (VSHPC) has explained business result in Q3/2008 as follows:
1. Business result in Q3/2008:
- Profit in Q3/08: VND60,606,771,856, decreasing 47% compared to profit in Q2/08 due to dry season in the Middle.
- However:
* Output in Q3/08: 118.48 mil kWh, gaining 131% of plan (90 mil kWh)
* Profit Q3/08: VND60,606,771,856, increasing 3 times compared to the same period last year (VND20,105,142,433)
* Profit in the first 9 months: VND276 bil dong, gaining 98% of plan (281 bil dong).
2. Short-term financial investment (VND925,685,326,000):
- Buying stock of Pha Lai Thermal Joint-stock Company: VND30,685,326,000 (3,011,866 shares)
- Term deposit: VND895 bil dong
* 12-month term: 750 bil dong
* 9-month term: 50 bil dong
* 7-month term: 15 bil dong
* 6-month term: 80 bil dong
