Raising prosperity from coconuts
Prosperity Initiative (PI), a non-governmental UK organisation focusing in agricultural and market development assistance, will help increase the value of coconut-palms in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.
The organisation will focus on studying coconut products that have a high export value and can bring in large profits. PI will also help improve provincial businesses’ capacity, provide professional training and promote socio-economic development in Ben Tre’s rural area.
The project will be implemented over three years at an estimated cost of over 1.4 million USD.
