Businesses bullish on Vietnam prospects

A survey of 198 companies operating in Vietnam shows most of them strongly believe that the economy will improve in the coming year.

The first quarterly Vietnam Business Confidence Index was announced recently by the Vietnam World’Vest Base Financial Intelligence Services Company Ltd. and PetroVietnam Finance Investment and Consultancy Company (PVFC Invest).

While some sectors, including health care, education/training, trade, tourism and consumer services, expressed satisfaction with their economic health, others, like real estate, construction and material industries were less optimistic.

The next index will be released in November.
