Vietnam, South Africa boost tourism cooperation

A seminar to examine ways of strengthening Vietnam- South Africa cooperation in tourism was held in Hanoi on October 6.

The seminar, entitled “ South Africa – where everything is possible”, focused on informing Vietnamese tourism companies about the tourism potential of South Africa , one of the most attractive destinations in the world.

The visiting South African Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Rejoice Mabudafhasi told the seminar that she saw huge potential for tourism cooperation between the two countries as they both have an abundance of natural beauty and attach great importance to the development of this industry.

Initially, both Vietnam and South Africa need to work closely in order to create more tourism-related products and market each other’s image, she said.

The seminar was co-organised by the South African Embassy in Vietnam and the Hanoi Tourism Association.
