NTP: Explanation for the change of over 5% in operating income in QIII - 2008

According to the Financial Statement Quarter III/2008, net income is VND 50.407.248.455 with the decrease of VND 5,624,230,955 (10.04%) compared to Quarter II/2008. Tien Phong Plastic JSC explained the decrease in operating income in QIII/ 2008 as follows:

-         The price of raw materials went up, so on 28/06/2006, Tien Phong Plastic JSC increased the price of pipes by 10%. For contracts signed before this day, prices were kept the same. So the revenue just increased by 8% (VND18,912,191,747).

-         Financial expenses decreased, net income increased VND 7,784,189,939.

-         Revenue decreased, net income decreased VND 18.991.991.632.

-         In Quarter III, main raw materials’ prices increased, which made cost of goods sold go up. As a decrease, net income decreased by VND 213,101,009.
