HCMC Expo’08 attracts local, foreign businesses

Ho Chi Minh City International Furniture and Handicrafts Fair 2008 (HCMC Expo 2008) kicked off on October 8.

The five-day fair features 847 stands from 310 domestic and foreign businesses. Of them, 23 stands are from Malaysia, the Czech Republic, the US, China, France and Switzerland.

The annual exhibition, which is part of the national key programme in trade promotion has become an attractive and prestigious destination for worldwide buyers.

Also, an exhibition and fair on energy and energy-saving will be held in HCM City this November, according to the municipal energy conservation centre, at a press briefing on October 8.

The fair will showcase the latest technologies and power-saving products for different industries, such as textile and garments, transportation and pottery.

The three-day event will open on November 7.
