Supermarkets lacking price listings will be fined
All wrongdoings in trade including speculation, hoarding, overpriced sales, price misreporting and smuggling will incur administrative fines, according to a recent decree by the Prime Minister.
Taking advantage of scarce merchandise or fabricating goods scarcity would be penalized with fines from VND3 million to VND35 million (US$180-2,100).
All trade shops and distributors charging incorrect prices, selling goods lacking price postings, or overpricing products would be fined from VND500,000 to VND5 million ($30-300), the decree read.
Supermarkets and trading centers selling products without price listings would be fined from VND5 million to VND10 million ($300-600).
