Securities firm offers trading floor for individual investors
The Ho Chi Minh City Securities Company (HSC) on September 8 launched a trading centre for individual investors, becoming the first business in the country to offer such service.
Addressing the launching ceremony, HSC General Director Johan Nyvene said Vietnam ’s economy will continue to grow and after the country overcome this difficult period, the capital market will prosper.
At present, Vietnam ’s capital market remains small with the market capital totaling less than 20 billion USD and 360,000 trading accounts, he said, adding that this means the room for development is very big.
A financial and investment service provider, HSC is jointly set up by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment Fund for Urban Development and the UK ’s Dragon Capital.
Its charter capital reached 25 million USD and total capital, 93.8 million USD late last year.
