HPG: Business result in the first 8 months 2008

Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company (Hoa Phat Group) has informed of business result in the first 8 months of 2008 as follows:

Until August 2008, sales of the company was VND6,241 billion, gaining 84% of the year plan. Profit after tax was VND1,061 billion, exceeding 43% of the year plan. The company has just informed of dividend payment in advance for 2008 with ratio of 10%.

At present, it keeps a large market share in Vietnam with products such as steel, steel pipe, furniture. The company has gradually penetrated its furniture products into the foreign market. Its main projects include iron-steel Hoa Phat complex (350,000 tons per year), the project of Hoa Phat cement (1 million ton for the 1st stage) expected to produce output in Q2/2009.
