Haiphong targets to put into operation three major projects
The northern port city of Haiphong has been pooling efforts to put into operation three major industrial projects this year, including the second production line at the Chinfon Cement Company, Dinh Vu DAP fertiliser plant and Haiphong thermo electric power plant.
In the first eight months of this year, Haiphong posted a total industrial production value of VND 22 trillion, up 18% against the same period last year. Of this, State-owned enterprises contributed VND 4.85 trillion, up 24.9%; the non-State sector, VND 7.1 trillion, up 9% and the foreign invested sector, over VND 10.1 trillion, up 21.9% year on year.
The city has targeted to gross VND 35 trillion worth of industrial production value this year.
