PM orders more efforts to fight counterfeit goods

The Prime Minister has issued an instruction asking ministries, sectors and localities to carry out certain urgent measures and boost the fight against the production and trading of counterfeit and low quality goods.

The PM requests that ministers, leaders of ministerial and governmental agencies, chairmen of people's committees of all levels and functional forces must consider the fight against counterfeit goods a primary urgent work at the moment and that efforts to the fight must be made during the process of production, import, delivery and sale of the products.

The minister of industry and trade, head of the Steering Committee against smuggling, counterfeit goods and trade frauds to co-ordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to speeding up inspection work in the remaining months of the year to prevent the trading of counterfeit goods such as fertiliser, insecticides, breeding feed and pharmaceuticals.
