6,500 tonne tanker handed over to Korean owner

The Pha Rung Industrial Shipbuilding Corporation on September 1 handed over a 6,500 tonne oil and chemical tanker, the FC GRACE to its owner, Fortune Mariane Co, Ltd from Korea.

This is the second tanker of the total five tankers of its kind built by the Pha Rung corporation for the Korean client.

The tanker is 110 metres long, 18.2 metres wide and 8.75 metres waterline and a bold capacity of 7,300 cubic metres. It has an average speed of 13 miles an hour.

The third tanker is scheduled to be completed and handed over in November this year.
