Techmart Lang Son 2008 to kick off

The 2008 Vietnam-China technology and equipment friendship trade fair (Techmart Lang Son 2008) will be held at a trade center in northern Lang Son city from August 31 to September 13.

This was announced by Ta Ba Hung, Director of the National Center for Scientific and Technological Information under the Ministry of Science and Technology, at a press briefing in Hanoi on August 26.

This is the first time the trade fair will enjoy the participation of foreign businesses and organisations. Techmart Lang Son 2008 is expected to have more than 100 booths put up by 23 science and technology departments from across the country and 86 units from China.

According Mr Hung, the trade fair will introduce technologies which are very suitable with natural and economic conditions and ecological environment in the region, such as anise planting, harvesting and processing technologies.

During the event, seminars will also be held, with a focus on ensuring sustainable development of the Nanning-Lang Son-Hanoi-Hai Phong economic corridor.
