PVD: Explanation for business result in Q2

Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Joint Stock Company (PVD) has explained business result in Q2/08 as follows:

Sales in Q2/08 reached over 913 billion dongs, increasing 19.2% compared to that in Q1/08. Profit after tax was 271 billion dongs, increasing 16% in comparison with Q1/08.

Reasons:

- The company has increased the number of supply contracts of human resources, technical services and other services in Q2/08.

- It has strengthened service supply such as geological services, renting specialized equipments….
