Hoa Lac hi-tech zone mulls large investments

The Management Board of the Hoa Lac Hi-tech zone says it is considering granting licenses to a number of investment projects with a registered capital totalling 570 million USD.

According to Deputy Director of the Investment Assistance Section of the zone’s Management Board Tran Dac Trung, those projects were of high feasibility.

So far, the management board has granted investment licences to 28 projects with a combined capital of 587 million USD.

To create more favourable conditions for investors, the board has sped up site clearance, invested in infrastructure construction, boosted investment promotion and made detailed zoning plan for the zone.

The Hoa Lac Hi-tech Zone covers an area of 1,600 ha, and is located nearby the highways No.84 and 21 and Lang-Hoa Lac expressway.

It will include 10 hi-tech relating areas, which will occupy about 550 ha, and areas for housing, offices, entertainment and sports.
