The International Travel Expo 2008 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from September 12-14, expecting to draw the participation of 180 sellers and 110 buyers from 11 countries.
ITE HCMC 2008 will serve as a venue to introduce tourism products offered by Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, said organisers at a press briefing on August 27.
The expo, themed “Mesmerising charms of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam – Three countries, One destination,” will also see delegates from 43 countries and territories attend the Asia-Europe tourism cooperation forum.
On the fringes of the expo, seminars to explore tourism potentials at ethnic minority-inhabited areas in the three countrie, and promote tourism investment in Vietnam will be held.
Deputy Director of the HCM City Tourism Department La Quoc Khanh said the expo is considered a national event, helping to promote tourism potential in the city and Vietnam as a whole.
