German group keen on Vietnamese market
Vietnam is a potential market with a young labour force that can meet future requirements, said business director of Germany’s WAGO Group, Klaus Beohmer.
Mr Klaus made the remarks in a recent interview granted to a VOVNews reporter during his visit to Vietnam to seek investment opportunities and introduce WAGO products in the local market.
The group’s business director said that over the past 20 years, WAGO has launched its products into Asian markets, including China, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. “I believe that we will turn a corner in the Vietnamese market,” he said.
Regarding the recruitment of Vietnamese workers, Mr Klaus said his group will give priority to those people who used to study and work in Germany. This is a potential labour force for WAGO as they have a good understanding of both Vietnamese and German cultures. In addition, the group will also employ local workers and provide them with training courses, he added.
Established in 1951, WAGO has been operating in the field of electronics and electrical equipment production. It has nine production factories, 29 affiliated companies and 35 representative offices in all continents.
