Construction of biggest LPG depot in South VN kicked off

Construction of the Go Dau A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) depot was kicked off on July 31 in Long Thanh district in the southern province of Dong Nai by the Southern LPG Trading Joint Stock Company.

This is the biggest LPG depot in the south with total storing capacity of 6,000 tonnes of LPG and built with the state-of-the-art technology.

The project covers 10 hectares with an investment capital of more than VND 215 billion. It includes a port which can accommodate LPG vessels of up to 50,000 tonnes.

The system is built to meet high standards of safety at the Go Dau A industrial Park.

Construction is slated for one year and the depot is scheduled to be put into use by September 2009. Upon its completion, the depot will receive and store LPG from domestic LPG plants as well as imported LPG for distribution to southern localities.
