Can Tho focuses on hi-tech agricultural development
The People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho has approved a programme on building and developing hi-tech agriculture.
The 3.1 trillion VND programme, which will be implemented through 2010 and oriented toward 2020, will build three hi-tech agricultural zones to use agricultural techniques for rice production and aquaculture and to attract investors.
Apart from the programme, the city is launching 12 priority projects on urban agricultural and ecological development and aquatic products’ quality management.
