VinaCapital extends Vietnam fund additional 5 years
VinaCapital Investment Management Ltd. will extend its Vietnam Opportunity Fund for five more years, the Ho Chi Minh City-based fund manager said in a statement Thursday.
Vietnam Opportunity has returned a cumulative 214 percent on net asset value since 2003.
The fund, which had a net asset value of US$785 million at the end of May, started trading on the London Stock Exchange in September 2003.
The fund’s largest holdings include Vietnam Dairy Products, Hoa Phat Group, Tan Tao Investment Industry Corp. and PetroVietnam Fertilizer & Chemical Joint-Stock Co.
It also holds private equity investments in Phu Nhuan Jewelry, Pho 24, and real estate projects, according to the statement.
