Rok investments in Vietnam reach 13.5 billion USD
The Republic of Korea (RoK) is the biggest investor in Vietnam with accumulated investment of 13.5 billion USD since 1988, the RoK Finance Ministry said on July 13.
Yonhap news agency quoted the ministry as saying that the RoK invested a total of 4.58 billion USD in Vietnam in 2007 alone, becoming the Southeast Asian country's biggest foreign investor for the second straight year.
RoK investors also poured a total of 2.7 billion USD into Vietnam's stock market, and a total of 70 builders from the RoK are engaged in Vietnamese construction projects valued at around 14.5 trillion won (14.5 billion USD), according to the news agency.
