Chan May-Lang Co economic zone attracts large investment
Chan May-Lang Co economic zone in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue has so far this year attracted seven more projects with a combined investment capital of 18.3 trillion VND (over 1 billion USD).
The figures helped bring the number of investment projects in the economic zone to 30 and the capital, to 27.4 trillion (1.6 billion USD).
So far, Chan May port, the paper processing plant, tourism projects of the Huong Giang, Thanh Tam, and Co Do-Lang Co Tourism companies have been operating effectively.
The Chan May deepwater port with a 130m wharf is capable to receive ships of over 50,000 tonnes. It also has a system of infrastructure for tourism, effectively serving the operational Lang Co beach.
The Lang Co Green Village, the Vietnam Laguna, and the Lap An lagoon golf court foreign-invested projects have been under construction.
The province’s encouragement policies in tax and land leasing have contributed to the business environment in the zone.
In the future, the zone is expected to join Chu Lai, Dung Quat and Nhon Hoi counterparts to form a chain of central coastal economic zones which work as an engine for the central region’s economic development.
