Chan May petrol port and depots put into use

The petrol port and depots at the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone was officially put into use on July 22 as it received and stored the first 4,000 cubic metres of diesel oil.

The project is invested by the Vietnam Oil Corporation, a member of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.

The project includes oil depots covering 7.2 hectares with design storing capacity of 7,000 cubic metres in the first phase and 14,000 cubic metres at the end and a wharf which can accommodate vessels of 5,000 DWT.

The port and depots are designed to be the place for storing and transporting of the oil to be refined by the two refineries Dung Quat in Quang Ngai province and Nghi Son in Thanh Hoa province.
